Coconut oil is literally heaven sent! Not only does it taste good and is great for cooking as a healthier alternative oil, it also does wonders on your skin and hair. I’m going to provide you with 5 easy and beneficial ways to use coconut oil for your hair.
1. Hair Growth
Mix 3 tablespoons of your Raw Organic Coconut Oil with 10 drops of your Rosemary Essential Oil. Apply the mixture to your hair and massage it into your scalp. Let the blend sit on your hair for 30-60 minutes and wash your hair using sulfate free shampoo like Helen Seward Bio-Reviving Shampoo. Repeat this regime once a week for the best results.
Juice your lemon and add 2 tablespoons of Raw Organic Coconut Oil with 8 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil. Apply the mixture to your scalp and massage it in. Comb it through to your ends using a wide tooth comb. Leave it on for 30-45 mins and wash your hair using a sulfate free shampoo like Helen Seward Bio-Reviving Shampoo.
3. Hair Detangler
Hair Conditioner (I use Helen Seward Bio-Reviving Deep Conditioner)
Heat up your Raw Organic Coconut Oil if it is in solid form before adding it into your spray bottle, add 8-10 drops of lavender essential oil and quarter size amount of the conditioner and fill the rest with water. Spray all over you hair and using a wide tooth comb start brushing out your knots. Wash your hair after again using sulfate free shampoo like Helen Seward Bio-Reviving Shampoo
4. Dry/Damaged Hair Treatment
Blend together 3 Tablespoons of Raw Organic Coconut Oil with Two Tablespoons of Shea Butter and then add in 1 tablespoon of Honey and blend on high until smooth. Apply all over your roots and ends. Tie up your hair and use a plastic bag to wrap up your hair this allows the heat to stay in which activates the treatment. Leave on for 30-60 mins and shampoo your hair thoroughly.
5. Leave In Conditioner/Curl Reviver
Mix 3 tablespoons of Raw Organic Coconut Oil with 8 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil and 1 tablespoon of ACV. Apply a quarter size amount to your hair before styling. You can store the leftover product in a container for the next time you want to use it. This also works for reviving curly hair by hydrating the curls leaving them bouncy and shiny.
